[Discussion] I think the Marines got major power ups at the Vice Admiral position

If we think about ITT Fujitora and Ryukogu was drafted outside the Marines right. So that means there had to be 5-8 viable canidates. Of that 5-8 canidates FUJITORA AND green Bull were chosen because they were superior and there were only 2 admiral spots up for grabs and seats to fill.

So that means the WG could have made deals with the remaining canidates to become VA's. Keep in mind these people wouldn't be that far in strengthn from Fujitora or GB ...there was just a limited amount of admiral spots that needed filling

I don't think so... I believe there plenty strong people who served WG, but it's unnecessary to turn all of them become Marines.

5-8 is stretching it. It's a scary thought to image that 5-8 unheard of guys were walking around and they could potentially beat an admiral if they felt like turning evil...but then again a lot can happen in 2years.

I don't remember seeing maynard during marine ford so it's very possible that the marines recruited new VA's during the Draft
