I personally do. Like I saw AoT when it first came on crunchyroll and yeah I liked it. Now kids are just making it seem like its the best Anime of all time which it isn't. Like WHAT IS SOOO GOOD about it? I mean like yeah its realistic and all dat but cmon its not that good to be putting it over anime's like
Code Geass, Death Note , DBZ etc. Tbh I'd give it a 7. Shit even Tokyo ghoul is showing up AoT. Hopefully more anime gets dubbed and goes toonami so these peoppe will realize that AoT is just child's play compared to other anime Lol
Attack On Titan Hype = 2013
Tokyo Ghoul Hype = 2014
What's next in 2015.....Boku No Hero or another no name Manga we won't know of until the Anime comes out
Yeah, it's extremely overrated like Tokyo Ghoul (Haven't read the manga of that so I am basing it from the Anime), doesn't mean it's not good but by god does it get repetitive.

Because they still last I read were not even close to going to the basement which is the key. All it is is kill titans, run around, watch some people die; repeat.
I haven't read it since
Eren was at Historia and her fathers being held.
There was actually some divergence out of the norm there.
It's because they constantly gamble everything, for something that "could rid of all the titans and gain us our land back."
But in the end, each and every time they partially achieve their goal, at the loss of many skilled men, or many fodders.
The conclusion is and is usually "Well we fucked up, but this is better than doing nothing and dying."
Then when you think they've finally got the upper hand shit goes downhill again.
Here's a hint if you haven't finished reading the manga till date.
Whenever they say "So and so can stop the titans." Just know they will 1. seem like they are awesome at first, 2. start losing men, 3. lose more men, 4. Admit that they are in trouble, 5. show Mikasa(The robot girl) or Levi attacking titans, 6. have them admit that things are getting out of control, 7. Have eren delay use of his powers, 8. in the end let eren take care of it.
-----> Repeat.
It applies to like every problem they've ever got.:|
No I don't think so. I can't say it's the best anime because I remember watching the first two episodes when it came out and I dropped it (did not pique my interest) but I decided to continue watching it after almost a year and I'm glad I did because it's great! But in the end it still depends on the person watching it.

Reaching to the basement is really difficult and not as easy as it seems. Also, there are many other factors involved in this entire process of getting back to the basement/rather getting back walls. It is as complex as, Naruto becoming Hokage, it needs time and efforts, also protagonist needs to develop enough for that and story of AOT isn't as simple as many other mangas/animes. There is a lot of internal politics involved into this, even if we leave out external titans.
@bold, this is really immature way to put it and there is much more than, them killing titans 'every time'.Every time there is a new revelation, new twists and it adds on to the complexity of the plot and complexity of the characters.
@Spoiler, maybe you should read it properly and catch up with the latest part of manga and then you will understand
what I am talking about.

In HXH, One Piece, FT, Naruto, DBZ,conclusion is every time hero defeats villain and moves on. Does that mean they are repetitive?
They aren't, it is theme of manga, 'a small human race fighting against Titans', but it was an initial theme of manga, now AOT undergone through twists and turns. Now it is about humanity conflicts and how humanity itself can result into it's extinction, due to selfish desires and complex morality.
Typically, after revelation of what Grisha did and Reiner and group's intentions, which have opened up innumerable possibilities and room for theories.

How much chapters have you read? Current Uprising arc clearly throws all of those your points out of the window, straight away. Again, Eren has to be the major contributor, because it is 'his' manga. He is the main protagonist of this manga and hence main focus of attention, but unlike many other mangas, Characters like Levi contribute a lot, despite of being side characters(seriously, what has Bulma done in DBZ, to contribute to the plot? Or to save humanity from attacks?:|)
Also, there are other quiet well written side characters, who are far from being 'idealistic human beings'.
Such as Kenny, entire Reiss family, Dot pixis, Ymir etc.
I am not at all saying that AOT is a perfect manga, it is rather far from it, but it isn't repetitive at all.
Hell yes. People praise it like it's the best anime ever. I've seen other animes that stomps AoT in terms of plot and storytelling. However, it definitely has the best anime adapation, from what I've seen so far. This doesn't change my opinion about the series, though. I still think it's a great anime to watch and I'd definitely recommend it to any hardcore fans of anime.
