In manga world, character designs have meaning right? Long hair usually means badass? Short hair maturity or something? IDK. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

So, I'm trying to understand Gaara's new design. What is this new hairstyle supposed to remind us of? What does it say about who Gaara is as a person 10 years after the war?

I remember reading in the databook for The Last that that design was 'smart', so I guess this is a continuation of that. Maturity and shit. Considering everything that could have happened to Gaara, I don't really care about it anymore. It's grown on me, I guess.

Makes sense. So the take away is he is now a calm, mature, probably enlightened person.

Gaara and Kakashi need a damn family to go home to to halfway make up for the shit they have been through :-(

Hopefully part 3 shows Gaara with that Matsori chick...they seemed to have a lot of potential in a filler episode.
