It should be Teach, as he's Luffy's antithesis.

It really depends on whether Sakazuki is still around when Luffy finds One Piece and is present at the "global war" foreshadowed to ensue. But I agree, Blackbeard fits the mold better than Sakazuki

Teach by far, not only because he is Luffy's antithesis, but also because he has far better potential strength than Akainu. The only one who could maybe top it is one of the gorosei guys, but i don't believe that much in them yet

Raftel is not the location of the final battle. Only the SH crew will reach raftel and find one piece. The final arc will be after that. The battle between the WG and the marines vs SH crew and allies.

But if Luffy found One Piece then he's already Pirate King? I'd imagine that Teach and his comrades are eliminated before the point of discovery, which is why I'm torn.

I think Teach is the best choice but if there's a final war/battle etc. then I doubt he would be a key player

The final war could be over One Piece. Both Luffy and Teach are extremely close to finding Raftel and the treasure, prompting the Government to intervene. This prompts the Revs to go all out as well and attracting the top tier pirates who also want to find the treasure. The Government is fighting to stop the treasure from being found and to eliminate the Revs and the Pirates, the Revs are looking to finally defeat the Government with the aid of the pirates. It'd be MF but bigger, as Oda promised, with instead of one Yonko vs The Marines, you have the Government vs Pirates and Revs, with the pirates even fighting amongst themselves. The entire war could be one great Saga that consists of multiple arcs, and ends with Luffy defeating Teach and becoming Pirate King.

I strongly believe that OP won't end when Luffy finds OP. Most likely there will be a war b/w WG and Team Luffy which consists of pirate crews that supports Luffy and rev's.

Luffy will change the world by the EOS. So I consider whole WG to be the final villain. Luffy's main opponent in that war will be either Coby/Akainu.

Its Blackbeard, the guy will most likely have 3 of the strongest types of DFs in the world. Akainu being over 50, and being stronger than Teach with 3 DFs just doesn't make sense. Especially if BB masters the gura gura, that same DF harmed Akainu from a WB who was on Deaths door. Plus two more, and one that can negate Akainus magma. And next maybe Kaidos. Oh yes Teach would own Akainu.

What fanfic? The 3 DFs? Well I think he might get 3, but I could be wrong. I should have just said if. Or maybe your talking about his paramecia or Logia type DFs not being the strongest fruits. Well that's just my opinion as well, no need to take it seriously.

BB has more potential than Akainu as a villain.

- He possess the devil fruit of the previous strongest man in the world. That means if he ever manages to control it as well if not better than WB, just with that fruit he may surpass Prime Whitebeard level of strength(and old and sick Whitebeard bested Akainu)

- Now add the Yami Yami to nullify other devil fruits and probably other extra abilities to boot and he can become even more fearsome, much more fearsome than anything Akainu can offer especially since i don't see how he can evolve at this point of his life from being weaker than old and sick Whitebeard to be on equal standing with someone who has the potential to surpass Prime Whitebeard(and Roger as well considering he was his close to equal)

Unless one of the gorosei guys ends up being the villain, i just don't see how Akainu will be that. I think Akainu will either be defeated by Luffy sometime even before Raftel arc, or sometime later/before by Sabo

True, but the way Whitebeard made it sound it was foreshadowing that once One Piece was found a sweeping war would come.

Not that the war would end with One Piece being found.

I'm feeling Akainu. Teach is an awesome antagonist, but I feel Akainu has a stronger tie in with Luffy. The man who killed his beloved brother. And a man who stands against anyone who gets in his way. He kills allies for failing to uphold his sense of justice. Something Luffy could never understand or forgive. Akainu's dream or goal is crushing pirates which is basically the opposite of Luffy's to become the pirate king (this the freest pirate on the sea). He stands as a Foil to Luffy which I feel better suits a final antagonist than Blackbeard who isn't so much an antithesis as he is the other side of the same coin.

It is clear as day that the WG are the final villians, it's been build up for year now, in every arc we get into these days , it just shows more and more the dark side of WG, once they discover the void century's real history then they are going to fight the final war in this manga, that is the war against the WG, oda said himself that in the last war the world will be thrown in a huge turmoil during the last war.

BB was never portrayed as the FV, he is somehow the antithesis of luffy, both of them want to reach OP and the pirate king title but in different ways, BB is just the pre-final enemy for luffy that will help luffy grow enough to be the PK and together with the dark history to challenge this world into a fight, its been made pretty obvious by WB that raftel is not the final point or the PK title, there is something more than that, just look at this speech:

It pretty much tells that a "D" will find the treasure and after he finds out the true history he will challenge the world into a fight, the organization that has hidden all those decades for some reason, the moment the structure and the system of WG, and most importantly when the mariejois is destroyed its the final point of the manga.

I dont think BB will be the FV.
Truth is that if BB is the final villain then the WG has to be beaten B4 Luffy vs BB fight begins. Only way for the WG to be beaten after/during the Luffy vs BB fight would be for BB to become part of the WG or during a all out brawl between the pirates and the WG/Marines.

I see.
1. Luffy vs BB (mainly becuase BB took WB spot as a yonkou and possibly suppose to represent the most powerful pirate on the sea)
2. Sabo vs Akainu (cuz Ace will be revenged by Sabo, I think sabo will train and learn to master the MMnM, and use to to avenge Ace)
3. Shanks vs Mihawk vs Issou vs Zorro ------- (as far as we are concerned these are the best swordsmen introduced i dont think it will be a four way match but i do think that in some way one of these people will fight one or more of the other three, the issue with this is that i dont see any real contention with Mihawk and Zorro, Mihawk and Issou (becase of Mihawks position), Shanks and Zorro (because zorro being part of Luffy's crew), So only plausible fights i see is Zorro/Shanks vs Issou or if Shanks joins Lufffy on his crusade against the WG it can be Shanks vs Mihawk)
4. Sanji vs Borsalino (this just seems right for whatever reason)
5. Possibly Kuzan vs Ryo (this is jusy my own speculation, but that would be awesome former admiral vs new admiral)
6. Possibly Robin vs One of the Gorosei (this is my own speculation seeing as they pretty much want her gone for the planet)

Also I dont think that Kaido or Big Maam will be beaten before EOS, or too far before the EOS, why you ask? Well think about it. Assuming that Luffy or any of the other Nova's actually defeat one of the Yonkou it would cause soo much chaos in the New World.
If Big Maam or Kaido dies before the EOS who would protect their territories? I dont think the SH or any of the other Nova's crews are big or strong enough to protect any islands, I think that they will do what Luffy did to Fisherman island, and to from one island to the next and "take" it and finally fight the previous posessor towards the EOS.
