Haha what joke is this. L's brain plus shinigami powers and a deathnote.
The only reason L.died is because of shinigami powers and lights brain. Even then he saw it coming and knew he couldn't stop supernatural powers.
If humans tried killing L it would not work.

light alone would do it , if he had the 2 notbooks then he wouldn't need stupid mikamki , light already defeated near when he killed the whole American crew.the only thing that was holding light off is his death note use limitation and his bad reputation (L not trusting him)

Actually light defeated L straight and fair.Light wasn't going against L alone ,he went against the whole world,how do you expect a normal highschool teen to kill a guy who never even shared a picture of himself,hiding his name by usuing the letter L?
not trying to be mean or anything but L was almost invincible

The sources which L was using were all worldy sources, and light knew how to counter them effectively. EVEN then L dominated him on a few points in their game even with what he had. On the other hand, the things which light had on his side were supernatural and there was Absolutely NO way of L to know them. Even shinigamis started lying for light. Now the impressive thing is, L had light. He had everything solved and was even going to solve the 13days limit(fake rule) which meant the end for both misa and light. Even with being at such a huge disadvantage L came this far, this close to light. To me its so obvious that L was the better one out of the two, much better actually.

Light's own mistake.
