It was stated in the manga that Obito is Madara's equal, Obito lost to Minato, if Minato marks Madara the fight is over, Madara would be an idiot if he tried fighting Minato without someway to block his FTG mark, Minato can just teleport away from any long range attacks Madara throws at him, fighting a FTG user in CQC is suicide.
