Uzumaki Karin, the last full blooded Uzamaki alive in NV has been praised by Orochimaru, Obito, Sasuke and Kakashi for her impressive abilities. So much so that Oro studeid her and Sasuke sought her assistance.
Using Eye of the Kagura Sensory technique Karin is able to track the unique chakra signature of her an individual from quite some distance with relative ease.
She can also examine the size of a target's chakra reserve and potency, and even tell whether or not someone was lying through the fluctuations in that person's chakra made from dishonest emotions.
She can instantly tell even the most perfect shadow clones from original
Making her a very useful ally
She is also able to identify intent and nature of a ninja just from their chakra. Something that on one else has been shown able to do in the manga
Despite her goofy nature Karin is very receptive and analytical in battle
And always on the ball
Karin is a perfect healer. She makes it 'Just a bite' easy
If it weren't for Karin, sasuke would have been killed long ago.
As well as being a useful teammate, Karin was genuinely loyal to Orochimaru going as far as to refuse to release Orochimaru's prisoners. She serves herself well for a secondary character.
She's not half bad in combat also. She is able to use the Adamantine Sealing Chains to an impressive scale
Its important to understand her erratic mood swings and obsessive behaviour in context of her childhood. Karin has no family or clan left that we know of. She ended up as a test subject at Orochimaru's hideout. Sasuke's simple heroic act may well have been the only graceful thing to have happened to her
That may have been one of rare genuine smiles for Karin. At least she hasn't loved for Sasuke because of his looks
