Wait so earth is inside the moon also? When naruto was fighting toreni earth was in the background. Tornei started absorbing something that looks like sunlight and he started getting hundreds of byrakugans.

nah the Moon is hollow and it has an atmosphere, soil, plants everything like on Earth and a fake sun too, that's how Hamura and his clan were able to live there.
you can see the Earth yep but it's not inside, there is some sort of barrier around the Moon so even on the surface, they were not suffocating.

Toneri absorbed the power leaking from the broken tenseigan altar which was powered up by all the byakugan collected from his clan since 1000 years, that's how he started mutating into a big bubble monster.
