Meh I'm not much of a Rolex fan but this watch appeals to me, if you are telling the truth it's a good piece to your "collection", I prefer Cartier watches but I'm too young to concern myself with expensive watches at the moment.

Meh I'm not much of a Rolex fan but this watch appeals to me, if you are telling the truth it's a good piece to your "collection", I prefer Cartier watches but I'm too young to concern myself with expensive watches at the moment.

Yeah it's a nice piece.

Cartier is nice. I like their diamonds. But I'm more of a fan of Swiss made watches. Rolex is nice because not only is it swiss made, it's movement is in-house.

I have a smart phone. But I like watches because it is a fashion statement.

Besides, it's actual gold so it will retain it's value unlike smartphones.

Yeah I guess I could see that. I just don't rock too much jewelry I suppose, I could make a jacket or any apparel piece into a fashion statement depending on the overall look.

Plus I don't want anyone trying to run up on me cause they see gold.

Actually a golden Rolex runs for tens of thousands, depending on the model.

To your second point, it is a fashion statement.

If we don't care about fashion, then we should just walk around wearing bags of cloth like in the dark ages. But we care about fashion so we don't do that. It's the same logic

True there are different ways to be fashionable without breaking the bank.

But I don't think someone will run up on you just because you wear gold. If that were the case, then people would get run up on all the time since most people have cars and cars are worth a lot, just like gold.

I know how much rolexes cost. I was referring to people around me that have spent 300 euros on a watch.

Simply put (imo) People that buy watches don't know what to do with their money
