If you have a normal BMI your body should be able to self regulate. Maybe you are just compensating for poor appetite previous week?

if you satisfy your calorie demand then you will be full.
so:
a) your body is burning a lot of energy and requires you to eat a lot
b) you normally eat a lot and you are accustomed to consuming such proportions
c) the weight you gave was bs and you are fat
d) depending on your age, your body may be demanding more nutrition since you are growing and developing (puberty)
I would recommend eating between 2 and 3 thousand cal a day which is the norm for the average male.
Also too many steaks is not that good for you.
