The Haki that shanks used to damage Whitebeards ship.....was it Kings or the color of armament?

Because the kind of color of armament that rayleigh used went outwardly from his body which made the elephant topple.

It was King's Haki. There are a lot of mysteries surrounding this type of Haki. I reckon there are more uses for it than just knocking out people who are no threat to you anyway.

I don't believe it was mentioned explicitly. But in another translation Jozu said that Shanks has great presence, probably referring to his King's haki. Besides Armament haki is like a physical blow, you can spot it easily. You saw Rayleigh aim and hit the elephant right? And also the fat Samurai guy with Kizaru did the same with Luffy. Shanks? No. There's your answer.

It was obviously Haoshoku Haki.

He didn't attack the ship at all.
