Why did kaguya have the byakugan?

And yet her son hagoromo and all hisdescendants never showed any signs of it?

One plausible answer is that the byuakugan traits went to the other son homura, perhaps he was the ancestor of the hyuuga?

But it doesnt explain why future hyuga would be so weak compared to their cousins the uchiha and the senju.

I think the answer is that the sage, to counter black zetsu and his mothers possible revival, kept creating transmigrants who lifted the powerscale of his descendants, whilst the blood of the hyuga thinned over time.

Kaguya had Rinnsharigan and Byakugan. She had two sons.

The Byakugan was with one of the brothers and down the line of him became the Hyuuga while the other brother had Rinnegan and when he had 2 boys it became a Sharingan for one which made Uchiha's and from the other was a strong body which became Senju.

Could hiashi or hizashi change the landscape in a fight like hashirama did?

In his fight with Kidomaru he got impaled a couple times and still lived but died to this. Also he could have easily done rotation mid-air (which he didn't). It's kinda weak to use the fact he died to a stick because Kishi wanted him to the "cupid" for Naru/Hina.

Every clan has their own fodders, there were only 2 full blooded known senju and that's tobiroma and hasirama as for the rest they're all average

The majority of uchiha were also fodders according to sasuke only few uchiha were able to unlock sharingan so the majority of uchiha are also fodders
