The Cause of Naruto

If anyone two people are responsible for the entirety of Naruto's story, it would probably be Obito and Orochimaru.

Obito pursuaded Nagato to set up the modern Akatsuki - the main antagonist group for most of Part 2. Without Obito, Madara would not have found a worthy heir to continue his plans since how many emotional Uchihas wander into a cave during a war? Plus, Minato would probably still be alive.

Orochimaru is pretty self explanatory. Instead of Sasuke running away with the Sound 4 (they prob would not even be formed!?), he would have been stopped.

Now I would say Naruto is the cause of Naruto's story but that's a lame answer.

Typical but their characters really were bad additions to the story. Kaguya's time was basically a filler amount of time. Obito and Orochi actually had significant additions to the story that made it what it is.

Honestly, that's all that he's going to be remembered for. I agree but also don't agree because his role is too general and it could have been anyone else that could have done that.

Obito's and Orchimaru's IMO were the most unique additions to the plot twists.

Orochimaru needs credit but not as much as your giving him.​

Obito was the enigma of the plot more than Orochimaru was. Without Obito Naruto would have been much better off, and Minato probably would have been able to bring more delegation to the Uchiha situation, rippling into Sasuke's story which would have put him in a better place emotionally by the time Orochimaru rolled around.

The story is about Naruto learning to use nine tailed fox's power so the people involved in the prophecy and the akatsuki are directly responsible for the story.

Madara, Orochimaru, Haku the cause of Naruto

Without Madara, Obito would have been dead Without Haku and Orochimaru, Naruto and Sasuke would have followed the same path as every transmigrant. Without Orochimaru, Naruto would have had a weaker will because of having no one to rescue against all odds, he probably would have been able to kill enemies with zero guilt as well. Sasuke wouldn't have someone teaching him how to convert his hate into power after losing his bond. Therefore he would go on a shinobi genocide rampage like every Uchiha does during puberty, he will be reckless in his fights and eventually die by the hands of Naruto or a Kage because of his cockiness.

Technically Black Zetsu, he is basically kaguya's will, so he is doing her bidding. Although she became evil because of people's war/conflict which made her eat the fruit. Everyone else is either a pawn or gear in the plot machine but not the driver.
