Luffy in Alasbasta Arc with no gears managed to catch him by surprise quite alot but now he can tag along with top-tiers with at least soru level speed(MarineFord). Doflamingo invited him to join his crew and we know that doflamingo does not accept weak subordinates. Bellamy POST TS with a bounty of over 150 million was still too weak for him. Crocodile was also aiming for WB at Marineford. I doubt that someone weaker than supernovas would in his right mind even dare take down a yonkou.

That was a vice admiral . If crocodile was weak, he would have had it worse. That being said makes me believe that crocodile was above vice admiral level.

I never implied that crocodile was VA level, I just said that he would get that treatment, as for what u said not even close, crocodile is not VA level let alone above VA level, a pre-gears luffy was able to punch around crocodile even though pre-gears luffy's speed and strength are crap, all VA's have haki and definitely better stats then pre-skip luffy, u saw what an VA can do during the PH arc, do u think crocodile can even stand to the likes of vergo, really?

Not all VAs are of the same level. VA level is not vergo's level. Vergo was one of the top executives of doflamingo. Maynard was a VA but he got owned by Bartolomeo who has a bounty of 150 million. That alone speaks of the VA standards. If crocodile was weaker than VA, I do not see doflamingo inviting him to join his crew.

Doflamingo in hi crew has fighters like baby 5 and even jora who got beat by brook, VA's level vary in strength, that's true bt it doesnt mean all are vergo level or maynard level, maynad seemed a new VA since bastille thought of him just as just a brat and he wasnt even participating on the war, even then I dont see vergo being stronger then the likes of John Giant, Doberman, Tsuru, Onigumo etc, that being said crocodile has lack of haki, speed and physical strength which make him weaker then most of VA's still I dont think crocodile would have an easy time against maynard, maynard was beaten by bartolomeo just cause of the nature of hax fruit of bart, even bellamy was having a pretty hard time against bartolomeo until he got a glimpse of his power, maynard had haki crocodile didnt.

I doubt crocodile is idiot enough to try to take down a yonkou if he isn't at least close to VA level. + If crocodile was really weak, he would not survive in the new world. And I think doflamingo would have already dealt with him.

Crocodile is just an overrated mofo. The portrayal was quite clear here. Marineford Luffy could kick his ass anytime he wanted

MF Luffy>Crocodile >> Alabasta Luffy> Portrayed Alabasta Crocodile. After all, Crocodile was placed in level 6(same level as ace and jimbei) and luffy in level 5 at impel down.

Be it VA level or even slightly above ur still an idiot if u try to take down an yonko on that level, crocodile just got cocky, thats all, about new world i dont really know how strong he is now maybe he even learned how to use haki maybe he got stronger but here im talking about pre-skip croc which is not VA level. Doflamingo was trying to invite him not kill him.

Crocodile in MF and Impel Down was easily on the same level as some of the Vice Admirals like Momonga. Probably a bit stronger, in fact. This is because of his Devil Fruit alone, because we don't know if he can use Haki (and he probably couldn't 2 years ago, but being in the New World for 2 years may mean he and Daz can now use it).

It was a total fluke when Luffy defeated him. Crocodile was able to stand up to Sakuzaki for a short period of time, so he was probably around the M3's current level

Explain all the fodder then.

Also, don't forget that Luffy was defeated soundly twice. He won the last fight via luck.

Luffy was lucky to beat Crocodile. Crocodile was much stronger than Luffy at that point. But being stronger doesn't always guarantee a win. To even dare to take on WB, you must be something. I think Oda may have gone overboard with having Pre gears Luffy take down Crocodile, even if it was after losing twice. And Crocodile, unlike Moria, wasn't said to have lazed around after challenging a Yonko.
With current power levels, Crocodile, if he returns, will be stronger than Vergo.

Crocodile is one of those characters that were introduced way too early in the series. This is why people argue over him a lot.

IMO He's quite strong... v_v Not sure how much, but he is certainly not as weak as people believe him to be. In my eyes he is a bada$$ mofo

Still pre-skip luffy was tossing him around, the stand up against sakazuki never happened, as in the next page we see all the commanders fighting sakazuki, crocodile would literally get no-diffed by sakazuki, he was able to beat to a pulp ppl like ace, ivankov, jimbei without breaking a sweat, on top of it crocodile wouldnt even be able to hit him due to lack of haki.

Crocodile being in the same level as momonga is completely baseless as he never shown feats to prove that.

He appeared too early that's all. But some people need to realize how haxed his DF is. The guy doesn't need to get new moves with it to get stronger. One problem I saw with alabasta Croc was his durability, he couldn't take too many hits from alabasta Luffy. So when he got put in ID, his constant torture in lvl 6 probably increased his durability by a lot.

Being able to take brilliant punk proves this. So think of MF Croc as alabasta Croc with much more durability. So he is a lot more formidable, and can probably after the TS can probably compete with even Doffy. Not saying he would win. But Croc should not be underestimated.

Luffy was defeated twice. Neg diffed both times. Nakama power pulled him through. You can't deny that.

, keep in mind Crocodile didn't even use his poison during the legit fights either.

Crocodile was seemingly nerfed during the Alabasta arc anyways. Sorry, but would he really get neg diffed by an Admiral?

, not saying that one move was especially significant, simply saying it shows Crocodile displayed a new level of strength in Marineford which he presumably had before since he was locked up all that time anyways.

Over the two year timeskip I can only presume Crocodile got stronger as he is alive and well in the New World.

Nakama power pulled him trough? What do u mean by that?
One time Robin saved him because she was interested in those who carry the D (Luffy in this case)
The other was just pure luck that a ball of water conveniently fell on him
I don't see nakama power here. The thing that pulled him trough is actually the fact that his endurance is abnormal. Even when he was a child he was hung on a rope and beaten to a bloody pulp but recovered extremely fast
Luffy can just take a lot of damage , that's all there is to it
