It doesn't/shouldn't parallel Paradise. That would be boring. One Piece is all about the unexpected. It should be kept that way. If we already know that he'll face a Warlord next, or a find a nakama in the next arc, it kills the suspense somewhat.

Are you blind? I'm seriously concerned.
Blind how? I recognize the parallels between arcs, but the sees should not be compared.

For a start:
Haki. As well as the rookies we were completely unaware of until Sabaody. As well as the fact the Yonkou are ever present and there's a gargantuan allies system/requirement to last in the New World. The seas are completely different and the plot will be too a la Yonkou, less Shichibukai yet to be encountered, different Strawhats, allies, rivals such as Kidd

Parallels aren't copies of each other.

Parallels are technically opposites. So these "parallels" aren't copies, they're similarities. Other than the radical weather, the fact there is an ocean and islands within them is the only true parallel/similarity between the New World and Paradise
And, you know, the other fifty-one parallels in my post above.

How exactly am I focusing on Alabasta?
Most parallels etc. most of the parallels you mention aren't even worth mentioning anyways. Such as:
-Island Strawhats didn't use log pose to get to
or
-There is a huge party at the end of each arcs

Truth is, these parallels (along with the many others you've listed) are shared with about 20 arcs. Most of the parallels you've noted are truly pointless if you look at the seas as a whole.

Then how is Dressrosa and Drum Island similar? What similiarities do Alabasta and Fishman Island share? How many parallels can you find between Punk Hazard and Arlong Park? If it's so easy to make connection between two and two arcs, then go ahead and do so. The actual truth is, there is a parallel between the New World and Paradise, and it's far from a coincidence. There is no freakin' way that Oda doesn't know about the similarities by now.

The reason I'm "focusing" on the parallels between Dressrosa and Alabasta, and because there are more parallels between them than any other arc, is probably because, well, I don't know, they're the two longest arcs in the series?
