I probably shouldn't have said that the clan itself was an asspull, but the fact that it was famous. Many people agree that was an asspull.

So just the power ups from Luffy, Zoro and Sanji?

Nami got a new weapon so it was to showcase her new powers.
Chopper's monster point was explained in a flash back.
Franky was a new character and pretty much showed what he did in Water 7
Robin didn't do much
Usopp got a new weapon and didn't do too much.


So basically 3 characters did a couple new moves.


I really can't think of any other "asspulls" then those throughout the entire series.


If you consider gear 2/3rd, Asura, and diable Jambe in one arc the most asspulls you have ever seen, either you don't watch much anime, or there might have been an attempt to troll because you knew you could bait some One Piece fans with your comment.


OT: Do gag anime count, because I'm sure there are quite a few asspulls from those types of series.

I'm assuming you're referring to gear second. It's not an asspull, it wasn't even random since we got foreshadowing of a new powerup for Luffy when he was on the train to enies lobby. The technique itself makes sense as well.

Totally bleach, that whole series is just an asspull series. 85% of the fights are won through asspull! infact the whole first arc is nothing but asspull after asspull.

I think Naruto surpasses Bleach in asspulls. Just google "asspull" and see what images pop up.
