Why are people saying that Uzumaki Clan is an asspull?

For the past two days, I have been reading that comment from over 15 threads and I am seeing this. Please, explain to me how that clan is an asspull? Thank you, for reading.

Its not the clan itself thats an aspull its the importance of the clan that wasn't mentioned till way later in the series for plot reasons

It wasn't, but probably because it was introduced later...

Probably because the only Uzumaki we knew was Naruto in the entirety of part 1.

The reveal of the clan was also pretty sudden and made characters we've already known relatives. And yet they didn't knew that.

It also was strange to us at first because no one told Naruto what the Uzumaki clan is. It's stuff like this that made it an "asspull" for some people.

That's very stupid, it was mentioned well in advance near the middle of part two, as were a lot of other things like rikudou sennin, senju-uchiha conflict. Are they ass pulls also now.
The clan has had constant mention ever since.

Yes, because if a single individual has a certain surname, it automatically means he's the only one.

I think that it's just the fact that nobody said anything, but it was more understandable because it was "hidden" from him, for whatever reason...

Sure, but even if no one said anything, it was a given that his family has some kind of history and affiliation with him. Like every surname does.

Agreed with that. It's just whether or not Kishi would make it a clan or not, which he did.

That's stupid. An A-pull is something that should not exist, but suddenly does. That's just a development, the same as any story.

Whether it was a clan or not, Naruto would still have powers. So, in actuality, Naruto's abilities would come up as being an asspull. Right?

If that's what the general masses would bandwagon, yes. Lol But I suppose they would, it's logical that he would have a clan background to go with being Jinchuuriki to the "strongest Bijuu" Part one-wise.

Yeah, that's what I was clarifying. It's not the clan they're calling an asspull, but his ability in itself. :)

Actually, I was just thinking further on it and it could be written off. As long as he had Ashura's ideals it would still be reasonable for Ashura to transmigrate into someone not related. Ashura was all about cooperation after all, Indra would be another story though...
