On a more serious note, I don't find it irritating. Shipping fans for the Naruto series are quite desperate in general. They tend to take scans/images out of context, misconstrue, and demote key moments/symbolism in the manga all the time.

No, I don't hate the pairing itself or any pairing for that matter. SS still has Sasuke smiling during the forehead poke.

I just don't like it when the fandom for anything (pairings included) takes a panel out of context and connects it with something else in order to romanticize a point.
