When Gaara dragged Madara with his sand Susano'o didn't followed him. That means Susano'o and user are not tied with each other.
He didn't drag him from the front because he couldn't.

He obviously gets pierced by Totsuka while trying to pass through it.
Sasuke swaps with the gourd therefore disabling it and leaving Itachi defenseless.
No it's not. The gourd is not the Sword of Totsuka. It contains it.He can't swap with the gourd, it doesn't have physical form.

I'm glad you agree.
I didn't agree with anything. I said "No it's not," but you said nothing regarding something being something else. Perhaps if I had said "No it doesn't." I do like how you disregarded the rest of my post though to point out a grammatical error.
Sand couldn't enter from front because it is not strong enough to break it.
Gravity doesn't have to break it since it doesnt work that way. Bansho Tenin focuses on target and apply gravity pull on to it alone. Target will be the only one that will be effected by the pull so Susano'o will not be effected.
This is speculative because when Nagato used CT, it pulled Itachi along with Susanoo. So I don't really see much sense in him using it all. Specially with that 5 second gap.
It obviously doesn't have physical form if it contains the Totsuka sword which has no physical form.
CT is pulling everything that close to the core.(It is slower than BT since it is not focusing on a single thing)
BT focuses on target and pulls that alone.
Then if Sasuke cannot touch spiritual objects as you previously said, then Totsuka does nothing to him as it cannot touch him.
You're slowly crossing the factual border. Bansho Tenin pulls matter towards itself, probably the target which the user desires. If the CT pulled Itachi with Susanoo, there is no evidence of BT doing something different.
They can touch him, he can't touch them. Simple.
Hahaha, if only that was possible. If something exerts a force on you, then you're exerting a force on it as well.
You're not getting what i am saying. CT pulls everything it does not select which rock or tree to pull. It pulls everything to itself like Earth's gravity force pulls everything on the planet to itself. It is called Planetary devastation for a reason.
BT is focusing on something and pulling it. So unless user decides to pull Susano'o it is not coming with the user.
Gaara vs Madara example is proof enough that Susano'o and Caster aren't tied to each other and could be seperated.
The fact that the Susano'o must be equally restrained, or else the user will pull the Susano'o with them.
And theoretically the Yata Mirror, I guess.
I get what you're saying but it's not supported by facts, which I denote as speculation.
The user doesn't decide Susanoo's mechanics. If Itachi was pulled with his Susanoo, it means Itachi or the technique didn't have any choice in the matter.
Gaara didn't pull him out from the front or the centre.

He moved sand from below but pulled him through Susano'o not underground with through desert.
When Madara moved Susano'o stayed. Same logic can be applied with BT. BT will make target move and Susano'o will stay. Improved versions of Susano'o are mobile so user might try to make it follow though I'm not sure will it be able to keep up with user while being pulled. Itachi's version is not much mobile and will not be able to follow against such a thing.
