[Debate] Who gives life? Men vs Women

You often hear from women (some) that they give life but do they really? It's obvious that both men and women play their own role in reproducing yet people say women give/create life. And because of that, they should be worshipped as some people would say. Anyways if you had to choose which would you say. These are just 3 quotes to think about.

On a serious note, it is dumb to discuss about who gives life. Both have equal share in uh..."materials" who makes baby who s/he is. Just women reproduction cells have nutrition and fluids to feed the embrio, and women are the ones to carry the baby. Idk who even thinks a human can "give life" but woman happens to have the heavy work in process due to carrying a being in their belly for 9 months. That's the reason why they so. No reason to pick one over another but when it comes down to things like "when we should have a child sweetheart" it has to be woman who should have the last say since she would be the person who will put her lifestyle, body, career on the line.

Everyone should be respected, but not just for their nature handed to them. They are equal and all but obviously people should treat pregnant women more delicately (believe it or not there are douches who don't even want to give pregnant people their spot at PT).

If I had to take a shot in the dark, it's more than likely related to the abortion argument.

They are equal and all but obviously people should treat pregnant women more delicately (believe it or not there are douches who don't even want to give pregnant people their spot at PT).

Some attention is needed even after that- Someone told me it was unfair that women get 3 months vacation for mother hood and fathers only a week( he wasn't even helping out his wife..)

...It takes 6 weeks just for the uterus to go back in it's position after the delivery even if we forget other complications which may arise in many cases... any strain and you have hernia problems at hand. Wrong sitting postures or excessive strain- again life long problem of lower back pain. So many things to watch out for along with taking care of the baby... Not to forget how many of them do not get even proper nourishment while feeding the baby world wide. And I am talking about normal pregnancy not complicated ones.

Comparison like this is meaningless. In a family every member has it's own importance. Such sayings are made just to draw attention to the facts that such mothers shouldn't be ignored. Going to sleep anyway before I fall asleep on my desk.

Calling it an equal effort is vague, do you mean creating the life, or the entire process for it to be born including the 9 month nurturing?
In both cases it isn't too equal of an effort either way.
