*Emerges from the ground*
"Hello there ! Can you please tell me everything you know about puppetry. Also state the name of all puppetry users in Naruto."
Please do not copy from the wika. It doesn't have to be long, I just want to hear your own understanding.
Off the top of my dome I can tell you that puppetry is one of Suna's battle styles performed through the use of chakra threads that connect the user to the puppet. These strings emit from the users fingertips, hardly being visible to non dojutsu users, allowing the puppet to follow the command of the user. Puppets are wooden battle dolls with multiple hidden compartments that stores weapons, poison mist, and even elements like fire, wind, and water. A puppeteer can wield multiple puppets at once, summoning them one by one to the battle in our RP, being able to control up to ten at once. One puppet for each finger. Puppets are best utilized for mid.-long range fighting, and it has been said that their weakness is short range combat, but I feel skilled puppeteers can maneuver around a weakness like that. Known puppet users in the anime that I know of are:
"Despite wooden puppets, there exist also human puppets. Human puppets were created from human corpses, and in a way they are special , as they retain their use of chakra and any kekkei genkai that the human host once had. Some skilled users like Chiyo and Sasori demonstrated the ability to control entire puppets perfectly using just one thread. Also, if the hands of the puppeters are disabled, the technique can be neutralized. Once again, users like Chiyo and Sasori were able to summon more than one puppet at once, showing their skills in puppetry. For ease of transport or camouflage, puppets are usually sealed within scrolls using fūinjutsu."
So for this training you can either stick to a template or the usual training method.

The other training method :
You give me your opinion on the jutsus and explain why. Also you need to perform the jutsu and write some advantages and disadvantages.
(Karasu) Crow
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Crow is the very first puppet we see in the series. It was created by Sasori, but is later used by Kankurou. Crow is a three eyed, four armed humanoid. Crow is one of the more basic puppets, but he is able to detach any of its body parts for deadly attacks, almost every joint having a blade at the end, allowing Crow to shoot his arms towards the opponent, and then have them return back to it. Even his head has a blade that can be extended out from the bottom of its neck when detached. This ability made it and Black Ant a very deadly combination. It also has the ability, like most puppets do, to release poison-tipped darts and smokescreens, which sometimes have poisonous gas mixed with them.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user
(Kuroari) Black Ant
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Black Ant, created by Sasori, is a puppet that is often used in conjunction with Crow and, later on, Salamander. It has a bucket-shaped face with two red horns and a total of six arms. It, like Crow, has three eyes. Its body resembles a very large barrel, and it is hollow on the inside, making its main use to be that of trapping, while weapons enter the many slots on its body. At any time, Black Ant can literally open its stomach, and trap an opponent, able to extend the two halves of its stomach so that it stretches out and over the opponent from a very fair distance (approximately mid range) and then retracts the stomach back to its original form, closing it with the opponent inside. Its arm segments contain hidden saw-blades. Like Crow, Black Ant can detach its arms for attacks.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user
(Sanshōuo) Salamander
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Salamander is a defensive puppet, though not on the level of defense as that of Hiruko. Salamander, as its name suggests, is built in the form of a large salamander, being one of the largest puppets seen thus far, and though it is not more powerful defensively than Hiruko, it is larger than the other puppet. Salamander is able to rise up a large area on its back to be used as a shield, making a black shield over its head. It, like some other puppets, is hollow, and it can open its back at any time and then rise up its large tail over its head, stretching it out and therefore allowing the puppet user to jump inside of it for protection. Salamander can also spew out fire equal to C rank. Salamander can only be destroyed by one who knows its weak spots, being a weak joint on its side that holds the shield in place and afterwards simply striking it on its back, or by a move of A rank or higher.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user
Now I'll be introducing you to your wooden "companions" throughout this training. These three are the basics of your arsenal, and are more geared to working together. Simply put, you can put puppets into three different categories depending on what they're used for:
Offense: Like Crow, they're designed to attack in multiple ways in order to fight in various creative ways. They won't be suited to a defensive maneuver but can fight for you. Defense: Like Salamander, are designed for defense and not leaving the side of the puppeteer. Shields, mechanisms to keep people away, it's probably one of the best to fight with. Supplementary: Like Black Ant, designed to supplement the offense in ways. With Crow, Salamander is better for holding down the target while Crow does the other works.
(Kugutsu No Jutsu) - Puppetry Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defense/Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10(-4 each turn its used after wards)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes threads of chakra that are used to control puppets.
The technique above is needed to create threads and attach them to puppets so that the user can control them. Performing it is simple, you're simply excreting chakra from your fingertips in a thin strand and creating a marionette connection with your puppets, and controlling them. Despite being used to control puppets, you can also use this technique to do other things.
For this jutsu, just perform it and tell me on what other things this technique can be used on.
Focusing chakra into my fingertips, they become encomposed in surging chakra as I thrust my hand forwards releasing five thin threads of chakra that connect to a stone in front of me. Upon connecting the threads to the rock I hoist my hand backwards which picks the rock off of the ground and brings it towards me where I then catch the rock with the same hand I was using to perform this jutsu.
Well just like I did, the puppetry technique can be used to grab objects within reason in order to control and move them in a certain direction. These threads can even be used to throw off the opponent by making them lose balance, disrupting a sequence of hand seals, or even throwing off their concentration by hoisting them into a certain direction. Its true use can be used with ninja tools and smaller lifeless objects. I would use this tech to maybe change the direction of a kunai or maybe to use a ninja tool forgotten and placed on the ground. I really like this tech bcz after being activated once, its uses are various.
As for the three basic puppets they seem useful and more geared towards freeform use, but I can see to advantages of using them together as a team.

Some of the jutsus we will be learning include the "puppets teamwork", so yeah, there are a lot of advantages of using them as a team.
As for the performance, nicely done. Let's move on to the next jutsu. Also, if you have any question don't hesitate to ask.
(Kugutsu Kemuridama no Jutsu) - Puppet Smoke Bombs Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user jumps up in the air and then manipulates crow to release several smoke bombs towards the enemy target blinding them in the process.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user.
This one is pretty easy. While controlling Crow, you just have to jump into the air and use him to release several smoke bombs.
*Creates a clone.*
Aim towards him. After you the smoke bombs are released and my clone gets blinded, perform any attack you want and make him vanish. Make sure to jump first since you will get caught too if you don't.
Can also be used to evade small range jutsu that are remotely controlled. If opponent cant see u they cant hit you
Create a scenario countering this jutsu : As the puppet releasez the smoke bomb I would send a wind jutsu which would return the smokebomb to its owner while sending a blunt wind projectile. Perform the jutsu (If you can, put as much detail as you can think of) :Attaching my chakra threads to Crow I then jump into the air as I control Crow making him open his mouth shooting several smoke bombs towards your clone blinding it as I throw an explosive kunai into the shroud. The explosive kunai explodes with the smoke scattering with the shockwave exposing an empty spot where your clone once was.
Sorry for the late reply !!!
There was a mistake at the template.
The second point should be "The greatest disadvantage of this jutsu :", my bad.
So let me fill that since it was my bad.
The greatest disadvantage of this jutsu is that time when you jump. You're hands are busy controlling the puppet and and while in air, you're exposed to any kind of attack, so you need to be careful on how you use this technique. A distraction technique used beforehand would be recommended.
Good job. This was all for the previous jutsu, now onto the next one !
(Kugutsu Gorotama no Jutsu) - Puppet Scatter Shot Technique
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user manipulates crow to release several kunai from his body at the enemy target.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user.
Now attach the chakra strings to Crow again. This time you just have to move your hands and manipulate him. Then make him release a bunch of kunais from his body with some finger movements. Be careful, its range is short !!!
*Creates a clone and sends him running towards you !!!*
A swift attack that can be deployed in a stealthy manner
The greatest disadvantage of this jutsu :
Can be easily avoided or defended against
Create a scenario countering this jutsu: Using a simple d rank earth shield technique would be sufficient enough Perform the jutsu (If you can, put as much detail as you can think of): As your clone rushes towards me I release chakra strings from my fingertips and attach them to Crow. Your clone passes by crow as it makes its way towards me, and as it does, I jolt a few of my fingertips which spins crow in a circle as several kunai were released from his arms and legs finishing with one from the mouth. All kunai pierce to clone in its back dissipating it before it can reach any closer to me.
It's short range makes it harder for the puppet to act. Good job on the performance.
Now, moving on to the last D-rank technique.
Ranbu no Jutsu) - Wild Dance Technique
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user manipulates Crow to bolt towards the enemy and begin spinning, striking them with a rotational force.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user.
This time use Crow and send it towards my clone with high speed while making him spin. This will lead in a strong rotational attack. But be careful, do not send crow head on without any distractions first, since the opponent may destroy Crow head on while spinning.
*Creates a clone who is carefully keeping his eyes on Crow"
NOTE: After this jutsu, we will continue by 2 jutsus if that is okay with you.
User can attack target without being close themselves
It's a swift attack
The greatest disadvantage of this jutsu :
Crow can be destroyed without a distraction
Can be easily dodged
Create a scenario countering this jutsu: If I was faced with the crow puppet being sent after me while performing this attack I would probably raise an elemental wall, like one of fire, so it can defend me while damaging the puppet. Perform the jutsu (If you can, put as much detail as you can think of)
Attaching my chakra threads to Crow, with a few slight finger movements I control him moving him towards your clone at a swift pace. Before he actually reaches I manipulate Crow making him shoot out a smoke bomb towards your clone before spinning at high speeds. Crow send Crow into the stomach of your clone causing it to dissipate before bringing Crow back to my side.
(Kyū Karasukuchibashi) - Sudden Crow Beak
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points 30
Description: The user detaches the head of his puppet, Crow, just as the opponent is approaching. The head then projects a spike from its mouth and stabs the opponent.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user.
Detach Crow's head as my clone is approaching towards you. Then you make him project a spike from his head and sent it towards my clone who is rushing carelessly. This jutsu has to be used at an exact time, meaning that you cannot use it when the opponent is on guard, since otherwise he'd destroy the head.
(Chakra No Tate) - Chakra Shield
Rank: C
Type: Defensive
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The puppets arm will pop out in four different directions in almost an umbrella-like manner. The arm segments will surround the puppets hand, and from those segments, chakra will emit, each one making one fourth of an entire circle, making a shield of pure chakra.
This is a pretty easy and handful one. You make your puppets arm to pop out 4 segments in 4 different directions. That will form an umbrella like shape. Then you will have to emit chakra from each of the segments. By doing so, a pure chakra shield will be created, which can protect you from most of the small projectile weapons.
(Kyū Karasukuchibashi) - Sudden Crow Beak
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points 30
Description: The user detaches the head of his puppet, Crow, just as the opponent is approaching. The head then projects a spike from its mouth and stabs the opponent.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user.

Then you will have to emit chakra from each of the segments. By doing so, a pure chakra shield will be created, which can protect you from most of the small projectile weapons.
Stealthy usage can't be utilized if the opponent has some sort of chakra sensory
Create a scenario countering this jutsu: I would just destroy the head with some sort of elemental jutsu if I saw it coming Perform the jutsu (If you can, put as much detail as you can think of): As your clone rushes me I motion Crow to my left side allowing the clone to pass the puppet carelessly as it motions towards me. The moment your clone passes Crow to the point where the puppet is out of its vision, I slightly jerk one of my index fingers backwards making the head first detach before protruding a blade from its mouth. Crow's headed blade attack pierces the clone in the back dissapapting it. The greatest advantage of this jutsu :
Can protect from basic low ranked jutsu
Can protect from basic tools
The greatest disadvantage of this jutsu :
Not a very high rank
Has a very small protective radius
Create a scenario countering this jutsu: After facing the puppet with its shield deployed I would send a B ranked elemental jutsu at it which would over power it. Perform the jutsu (If you can, put as much detail as you can think of):
Controlling Crow I positioned him in front of me before bending my thumb inwards which triggered one of Crow's forearms to open up in four different directions before emitting chakra making a shield.
I know you're an RP vet (joined around the same time as me, although you started RP sooner) and I've seen what you're capable of in terms of fighting and stuff.
Anyway, I won't hold your hand too much for this session, but instead we'll be discussing jutsus and their capabilities as thoroughly as we can. I expect us to challenge each other with good questions and smart insights.
Do you have a Sasori bio, or is this a regular puppetry bio? o_o
Alright that sounds like fun. I've had a lot of questions about the ability and hopefully after this session I can be clear on them all. I don't have a sasori bio. I'm using an Uzumaki U_U
