The true objective isn't peace, but the revival of Myatsuuri, the leader of the the Yakui clan. Yakui clan rivaled the Otsutsuki clan.
Whilst Otsutsuki's have power it is quite clear they don't have brains (as seen in kaguya). It is only after years of evoloution that the chakra users mixed with ordinary people and the power and dumbness has been diluted by ordinary human genes.
The yakui interpreted that the world of chakra users would still have that slight bit of dumbness inherited from the otsutsukis who want war. so they went into hiding creating an underground civilisation. They are a clan that have sheer brain power and the revival of their forefather Myatsuuri will end the hooligans using chakra for war, and show them the ways of using chakra to advance the technology and way of life. instead of living in a historic type era of war and no technology utilisation
