I know. Hopefully Kishimoto actually puts his foot down about it this time. It does kind of concern me though that he only mentioned Sasuke and Bolt. I doubt there will be a Sasuke/Sakura movie, at least not on the level of Naruto/Hinata. Theirs is a relationship of complexity that doesn't really fit well into cheesy romance movies, which is what sells nowadays. No doubt given the right writing it would be a.pretty damn good angst/drama movie with a happy ending, but I don't trust SP OR Kishimoto to deliver on that.

He didn't even write this last one. He just red penciled it severely. Honestly, Kishimoto is the very last person you want touching your romance scripts. 2 of the things that annoyed me about The Last, the 2 year timeskip and the overabundance of scarves, are both directly attributed to him. He is just legitimately bad at the subject. He needs to hire a specialist script writer to do it for him, and STAY OUT OF HIS/HER ****ING WAY for the movie to work.

What plot relevance could he conceivably serve? He doesn't make any sense as a minor protagonist or antagonist. He pretty much has to steal Hyuga eyes AGAIN to be relevant.

This is also one small gripe I have with the series.The villains seem to be getting bland nowadays.I mean we have seen villains like Pain and Madara so seeing stuff like Kaguya and this lame filler villain so to speak leaves a bad taste in the mouth

He was formidable after he got the Tenseigan but it seems it was all worthless in the end as after Naruto TnJ's him he becomes fodder considering with Tenseigan he can keep up with Naruto and Sasuke with Rinngean who are not even at full potential but after that becomes sh*t

Blame Kishimotos reliance on Dojutsus to make villains relevant. He makes a promising dojutsu up for the new movie, but then ruins it by saying Toneri is the only Otsutsuki left alive, and he doesn't even have his own set of eyes. If he'd have left it vague we could've had a badass one appear later.
