If nagato and itachi weren't killed off by kishi, madara and obito would have had a much harder time. I mean they both died from suicide and weakness.
They could have cured itachi or never have made him have a disease.
Also nagato could have not been crippled or could have not been killed off to revive konoha, like he could have just not killed konoha...
