The way sabo was introduced in the story is very similar to how obito was introduced in naruto. I think we can mostly agree on this.

Let's take a look:

-ASL flashbacks happen right before the time skip
-Kakashi gaiden happens before the time skip also
-A new character is introduced in these flashbacks (ASL): Sabo
-A new character is introduced in these flashbacks (Kakashi Gaiden): Obito
-Sabo is part of a group of three: Ace, luffy and well, him lol
-Obito is also part of a group of three: Kakashi, rin and him (One could say that minato is part of the group but he doesn't have alot of interaction with the characters so I will not count him in. I'm only taking into account, the kids)
-Said character "dies" (sabo)
-Said character "dies" (obito)
-Character is revealed to have survived later on in the story (sabo)
-Character is also revealed to have survived later on in the story (obito)
-Both characters were saved by a man (madara and dragon)

Do you see where I'm getting at?

If not, well here is my theory. Dragon could very well be a villain, just like madara was.

I kinda hope this does not happen because I've seen this scenario already while reading naruto. I hope oda can come up with something more original ^^

I'm not saying this will definitely happen, heck I could be wrong, but the similarities are not to be tossed aside.

I have faith in oda, please do not make dragon a villain.

Now, one could argue that madara wasn't really a villain, but you get what I mean. I don't want a repeat.

PS: I'm sure I'm not the only one that thought of this.

Dragon won't be a villain. You're forgetting, he already saved Luffy from Smoker pre-timeskip. If he was such a villain, he wouldn't have done that (he'd probably just have killed Smoker).
Plus, One Piece is going to end with a war. That war will be between the revolutionaries and the World Government in my opinion (ie. Devils and Gods).
There are still so many characters we are yet to meet, Dragon will end up becoming an extremely important character, however he won't be a villain.

He might have an agenda of his own. Just because he saved the main character doesn't mean he's necessarily a good guy. I'm not saying it will happen for sure, I'm just saying that it could be a possibility.

I read up to "similar to how obito was introduced in Naruto"

Now I am asking OP fans on NB, should I read on or will I just get pissed?

Dragon is already a villain, if you think about it. He may have saved Luffy because that's his son, but how about what he does? He makes countries turn on the World Government by starting revolutions, and revolutions are a messy business. Dragon has more blood on his hands than you may expect. There has to be a reason he is the most wanted man in the world.

Maybe he's fighting for a just cause, but I doubt he really is a good guy.

I don't see how he would get pissed, I was just noting the similarities in the way these characters were introduced. This is not a thread where the intent is to bash the series (I'm not like that) or anything.

This is just a small prediction of mine.

tell me more?

The fact that you're comparing a terrible character like Obito to Sabo. Also, not many people believed he was dead. There was enough evidence indicating that he was alive. Most people were more surprised that he showed up this early in the story than being confirmed as alive. Oda gave us like 2-3 major hints that he was alive. Other than that, some of your points were just weak. Also, predicting that Dragon could very well be a villain is pretty dumb especially if your basing it off something that happened in Naruto.

There are probably thousands of characters you could plug into this parallel, maybe millions.

Someone is mad I see...

Also, I'm allowed to compare any character I want with sabo. Plus, I didn't even talk about the character himself, just the way he was introduced to the story which I found to be similar to the way obito was introduced.

Plus, I'm sorry to say but sabo's return was predictable. In a shonen, if you have a character "die" and you never show his body, you know that something fishy is going on.
