SP are hinata fans and I would swear that the last is their idea so in order to make hinata's husband look less sucky they made his love for sakura "fake" and in order to make him start liking hinata (which he clearly didn't) they made that genjutsu lake BS to make him like her which he should've liked her since the pain arc or neji's death(friend zone no jutsu).

not to mention they made naruto have many fangirls in order to make hinata a special girl since he married her(competition my boot)

it's not that I don't like NH or support NS in fact I saw NH and SS coming since part 1 so yeah I agree and support NH but I don't agree or support BS that's all. no hard feelings okay?

If you want to correlate this to real life, psychologically, I gave you the right answer. Naruto perceived Sakura as his goal because she wanted Sasuke. He wanted to become like him so that girls like Sakura could like him like they like Sasuke. It's very common even in real life.

I don't care how special or not special she is or shouldn't be, it would be ****ing terrible if he left her hanging. The chick loved him since day one.

Either way it's irrelevant now. And you forgot 1 point, During the chunin exams, I believe Naruto said he would change the fate of the Hyuuga after Neji Fought with Hinata. Later in the series when Neji died, He said "Change the fate of the Hyuuga".

So the real reason why Naruto and Hinata got together is because of fate and fate alone.
