Hell, they even have floating islands inside the moon. Sure in chapter 700, NV has skyscrapers and laptops but even that is nothing compared to the terraforming the otsutsuki can do. Though they did do a crappy job of guarding the gedo mazo. Lol

Uhmm no? The moon rotates on it's axis in the same amount of time it takes to orbit the earth. That means there's one side of the moon that's perpetually facing earth, away from sunlight. That what we call the dark side of the moon
