Also, just because one chooses a path doesn't mean that all pain is non-existent. It's still there. Literally the only difference between choosing a path is that one does not have the right to complain (since they chose that way) unlike another who has zero control.

Pretty much what everyone said above. Itachi, Sasuke, Naruto, Gaara, Nagato & Kabuto all went through a tonne load of shit.

Though, I also think Kakashi endured a lot as well. His mother died at a very young age and he also had to went through his father's death. Kakashi resented his father after he killed himself over depression. Sakumo was scolded by his comrades because he prioritized their lives more than their missions. As a result, Kakashi thought that shinobi rules should always be followed. It was his friend, Obito, who changed his views and made him look up to his father as a hero. However, shortly after that, Kakashi witness the "death" of Obito. Not only that, he accidentally killed Rin which led to feelings of regret since he couldn't keep his promise to Obito to protect Rin. This all happened when he was a child. Kakashi also lost his sensei (Minato) later on, and during the war he discovered the masked-man was Obito all along, the very same person who indirectly killed his sensei and caused a hell lot of havoc in the shinobi world. I'm honestly surprised that he managed to endure all of this, without experiencing a mental breakdown of a magnitude that would cause him to lose all faith and hope in the world.

I don't remember Gaara suffering in part 2 and pretty much same goes for Sasuke and Kabuto. Also, Nagato never really went through anything painful after Yahiko's death.


Suffering the most has literally nothing to with the amount of time they suffered.

I don't remember Gaara suffering about his death and going by that logic Naruto almost died on more than one occasion.

I didn't said anything about Itachi and about Kabuto: It dosen't change the fact that Kabuto only suffered when he was a kid(same as Naruto).

For me the only reason Naruto's endurance thing goes down becoz he was able to make freinds later on while others remained in darkness.

No, it isn't a matter of opinion.

Naruto endured just as much as those dudes if not the worst at pretty much same age. Naruto recovering from his pain won't change the fact that he went through a lot of sufferings as a kid.I don't see a reason why you don't include Naruto. It just proves that you are being biased towards him.

No. Kabuto was suffering his entire life.
And Kabuto's pain is a cut above Naruto's. Naruto never knew his parents, nor did Kabuto. But Kabuto found a parent in Nono. He had that bond. He had to kill her in self defense because she was tricked into not recognizing him. Naruto never had to do anything like that with Iruka, he didn't have his identity, his life, shattered by his own hands.
Naruto had Iruka, Sasuke, Sakura, the 3rd Hokage, the Konoha 11, and eventually the Leaf Village. Do you know who Kabuto had? Orochimaru.

Probably Hashirama/Tobirama/Madara, being in a war torn era is not good. Children were killed and sent to fight on the battle lines and these "ninja" did not even have training that was provided after the villages were formed. I mean we see that Madara lost practically his whole family before he even took over leadership....
The other people had a foundation, now the stuff afterwards may have been bad via the corruption of the system and man's overall disposition but at least they had a foundation. From the looks of it Hashirama's era fought wars until Madara and the Uchiha lose, which was like a good decade or so of war.

But seriously. They representa everything that was wrong with the shinobi sistema and the epytome of the tragic shinobi:
The one scarred by war and despair, who enbraced pain as an identity.
The one who chooses to endure pain and disgrace, shunned by his peers and hated by the one he loves the most by duty
And the one without identity, purpose nor meaning in life. The one who just wanted to find himself.

It's impossible to imagine the violence took place in the Warring State Era. Children during that era, like Madara/Hashirama/Tobirama never had the opportunities the children from Konoha's establishment and modern Shinobi. Whereas the latter would go to academy, make friends, have sensei and work; none of those chances would have ever exist in the Warring State Era. Children are forced to got on front lines, battle against straight away, and die. Heck, they couldn't even say their own surname to anyone else. Like how we saw Hashirama's and Tobirama's brother getting brutally killed, that is how children during that era died. Children like Madara lose their loved ones from childhood.

The characters born in the Warring State Era endured the most.
