This is a serious question so I would like your honest responses. Honestly not bashing :|
How do you feel about the sole purpose of Neji's death being to make your pairing canon?
Proud.
Apathetic
Guilty
He was what brought NH together after all. Well that and the movie

I would also like to hear the reason for your feelings as well.

Y, I just like hearing ppl's feelings. Is that so wrong???

Personally, I have mixed feelings about all of it, so I thought it would be something good to discuss.

Don't get me wrong Im not hating on u or something :p

It's BS.Neji was far more interesting than Hinata and still is.

A great char died for something what didn't even happen in manga...yet u saw it 2 years later in the movie...what a joke that is...

I never really cared for Neji. So it did not bother me one bit. Him dieing made me feel as if nothing even happen. It was not impactful at all. As for him being the reason of this pairing being canon? I think many would agree that even before that we saw hints of NaruHina being canon. So I really don't think Kishi needed to do this.

I dont think it was the sole reason though. He was probably planning to kill off one of k11 anyway , he leaned towards Neji for the pairing reason

I never though of Neji and Hinata as a pair - Hinata always used to call him brother, since part 1.

Well, personally I am apathetic on both Neji and Hinata, but even I enjoyed Neji more than Hinata. It feels almost like cannibalism in terms of development. :|

As a Hinata fapboy,I was happy he died because Hinata got to hold "Naruto-kun"'s big hand.

I am a Naruhina fan and personally I think this more so reflects on Kishi's writing decisions rather than Naruto's and Hinata's characters or validity as a couple. After all, Naruto and Hinata didn't kill Neji. In short, I don't feel guilty or bad about Naruhina at all. After all, two people have the right to fall in love even after someone dies.

I do feel sorry for Neji however.

Simply displeased and totally sickened the fact that Neji who was one of the best character only to get wasted over NH pairing, him dying was the most pathetic and such insult to his character. If people kept bragging about his development finished in Part 1, then why the f*ck was the point of bringing Neji into Part 2 if he's not going to be utilised, Neji should've died the fight against Kidomaru because this fight was beautiful, most inspiring and great honorable to Neji.

I have mixed feeling with NH, I wish Hinata gets some development and have buildup with Naruto throughout the course of this series but from the way I see it, Neji and Hanabi are nothing more but a plot device for romance and it took BS for NH to happen.

I said this in another thread, I will say it here to. Had they given Neji some sort of importance like Itachi or Jiriyia. We would have felt the same impact in his death as them. The problem was never his death. It had more to do so with the lack of screen time he got through out the series. Kishi had to kill one of the K-11 anyways. He just never bothered to develop the one he killed. Outside of part 1 Neji was just another K-11 member. That is why I feel his death was random.

I am not a NaruHina fan, but my opinion is:

1.Since Neji didn't do anything important in the entire Part II, further, he became a background fodder whom even Hinata had to save from White Zetsu clones, I can't really feel anything towards him. His clothes were cool, but nothing more.

2.It's Kishimoto choice how he uses his characters. Kishimoto admitted that he can't writte romance, yet he believed Neji's death would be a good way to bring characters together. This is just his "way" to do things.

3.For some reason I still can't believe that somebody, who admits he can't writte romance says this was supposed to be for romance. Even more knowing the fact that Neji was killed 2-3 weeks after Tite Kubo killed Sasakibe, Kira and Yamamoto in Bleach in a war that was far more interesting, balanced and exciting than Kishi's Baby War, which would me believe that Kishi only killed Neji becuase Kubo killed Yamamoto, Kira and Sasakibe.

Overral, I can't feel anything about it. Kishimoto thought this up, not the "NaruHina" fans.

Also, what important Neji did in Part II? Even Lee did more than him. Tenten had no connection to anyone except Team Gai, so her death would be even more fodderish.

Kishi killed of neji because he had neglected the character for too long and his potential become unfulfilled. Killing him off was a way of avoiding that.

Didn't care for it, I was upset when he died considering he was one of my favorite male characters.
In the end it was all for a good cause imo.
To sum up it doesn't bother me, went canon and got a movie so good vibes Lol
