Nope. Fate/Stay Night has three routes since it's a VN. Ufo's anime is following the second route, UBW, while the 2006 anime followed the first route, Fate.

Although, if you haven't seen the first 2006 anime or the 2010 UBW movie, don't even bother with them. The animation is horrible, it's fillerish and well, it basically ruined Shirou's character development. You don't need to watch the first Fate route to even understand what is going on in UBW either.

Did you watch Fate/Zero? You can just watch Ufotable's adaption and treat the 2006 anime as a joke. It's what the whole fanbase does anyways.

I see, along with the main thing which was the element of suprise they had kuzuki injure saber in the first blow so she couldn't finish it. Well that would more sense for a new comer.

Really have mixed feelings with the shirou going super saiyan scene. Still was epic though Zzz
