to stop the Uchiha Coup? Wouldn't it have worked to protect the village?

Danzo had no right to beat him like he was his pimp.

Because Kishi plot holes.

Even Danzo, in his greed, wouldn't be dumb enough to -RISK- a civil war.

It's the sole reason he has Itachi execute the whole clan.

I mean dude, the Uchiha were BY FAR the strongest clan in the world when they died- Shisui, Itachi, parents and co etc. Itachi alone solo'd the strongest clan in the world.

No way in hell Danzo would kill such a great asset unless absolutely needed.

And one of the reasons, which no one mentioned here...is that Shisui's plan was just temporary. It would just have delayed the coup if you ask me. There kids most likely wouldn't have been in the genjutsu, and they'll start to hate. Afterwards, they would most likely realize their parents are in koto.

Because not only did he want the Uchiha dead, but because it wasn't a flawless plan. The Uchiha wanted to rule the Leaf and eventually they would have attempted again. Probably through the second generation. I'm fairly sure the plan was to cast KA on Fugaku anyway, and if that had happened, the Uchiha would just have replaced him as leader. Just as was the case with Madara when his ideals clashed with the rest of the clan.

Exactly this.

KA would have, at best, been a temporary solution. Danzo wanted the Uchiha completely eradicated.

Because it was the opposite of flawless.
-Fugaku just, out of nowhere, changes his mind and everyone should just go along with it and not ask questions? That's cause even more suspicion, not less. Fugaku changed his mind after meeting with Shisui, the brain-washer?
-What if he's caught? What if another Uchiha or more are in the room with their Sharingan activated as a safety precaution? Shisui's plan is ruined.
-Even if it goes well and Fugaku ends the coup with Shisui, that won't stop the bad sentiments between Konoha and the Uchiha. That is a very temporary peace that may not even solve anything.

It was a terrible plan.

I think KA was permanent. The Uchiha trusted Shisui. He wae one of their best members, who was dedicated to the clan. That is why they couldn't believe that he would have committed suicide.

KA would of gotten them and worked, which is why Danzo stole his eye because he didn't want them to change. He wanted them dead so he could steal their power.

Despite being loyal to Konoha, dedicated to the village,Danzo still stole Shisui's eye even despite being the son of Kagami, who was his former teamate who was highly respected by Tobirama, and loyal to Konoha aswell.

Danzo didn't give a damn, and in the end got what he deserved.

Danzo wanted to topple the power of Hokage [Hiruzen] and gain the power of sharingans forbidden technique

On another note he may have had the same mindset as Tobirama, that the Uchiha clan are too emotional .

No. KA would not have effected the Uchiha clan, it would have effected Fugaku. You didn't even mention the rest of my point, my other points, or the points of the people above.
Danzō may have done some bad things but this is not one of them. Shisui would have f*cked everything up.

Since when was this about toppling Hiruzen...? That's exactly what he prevented :| People always seem to pull shit outta their ass when it comes to Danzō.

And it also can be translated as the way Kishi want to put off Uchiha clan involvment in future story plot

If Uchiha is still alive in the story, it will complicate Kishi's mind to developed many new eyes power for Uchiha, and the rule is Uchiha will getting stronger everytime, Madara or any villain will having many hard time to up against many strong eyes Uchiha, not just Sasuke here

And Kishi will having more hard time on how his villain will encounter not just non Uchiha shinobi alliance but also Uchiha armies in Shinobi alliance

Sure it easy for Madara or Obito to counter Sasuke alone, but what if they need to encounter Uchiha armies which between them sure having very powerful and unique eye power

Its no matter if Shisui plan work or not, the fact is Uchiha clan need to retaired from manga save for a small number

Danzo knew Kotoamatsukami was not a permanent solution. Even if Shisui stopped the coup then, another coup would have come up in the future. And Shisui's Mangekyo would take a decade to reactivate, meaning he couldn't constantly stop the coups from happening.
