I kept telling everyone Sasuke one shot Blind Madara waay back when he first Amaterasu'd him. I preached to everyone that Madara removed the burning pieces and the anime proved it. Everyone and their mama was claiming Madara absorbed the Jutsu.

Blind Madara was only alive due to plot. Sasuke could have easily shot another one at his ass.

Amaterasu is number one jutsu. This jutsu cannot stopped without plot. Kishi had to give each character plot armor to defend against Amaterasu.
