He can make as many clones as he pleases. The number of clones he makes correlates with how long the clones last and and how much chakra they each have.

so did he not keep up or did you even know what you were replying to? you dont slectively pick parts that only faour you not to mention hes rinnegan wasnt active as got shut down due to him not being able to control it as lack of chakra, hence hes doujutsu weakened.
