They both share the same nindo(Never Give Up) & both get stronger when angry/protecting each other. Both of noble blood, both experienced war & loss. You know whats borderline retarded and extremely desperate? Falling in love with someone who ignored you their entire life and attempt to kill you numerous times. Unlike SasuSaku, NaruHina relationship is more than "romance", his way of life inspired hinata and saved her from her hell. Naruto grew up without anyone to guide him just as gaara, they didn't know love. Its sad but very understandable, you must also understand hinata was forbidden fruit, heir of the hyuuga clan. Everything gets explained nicely in the last, both starved of love, you need to see it. Beyond this SasuSaku is forced and borderline retarded still, it'll never make sense.

The fact that they're opposites give them a lot to discuss and LEARN from each other. Do you know how many new things they'll be able to help each other experience?

He can teach her about ramen variations. She can expose him to the delicacies the noble families eat. They can train together. His outgoing spirit will draw her out of her shell and they'd probably go on little side adventures together. Then of course, there's the tenderness of hers which he'll experience for the first time in his life and connect them even closer spiritually. There's lots and lots of stuff for them to discuss and do together if they're both open which they are (opposites only worl together if both are open to try new things are they enhance each other's weak points.
