Omg!!! You wouldn't believe what happened at work today!!!

I'm a cook at kfc right now (since I'm in school and need some extra cash). While I was sifting some flower for some krisp chicken another cook was taking out some of the original chicken from the fryer. He took it out before the timer went off and as soon as he opened it, It completely exploded!!! I was right next to him and all the extremely hot grease flew everywhere and got all of the both on us. He got grease all over his legs and chest. I got it on my neck, arms and back. We both have burns from this incident. He left and went to the hospital and was yelling while he was in the restaurant from the burns. I sort of just stayed still for awhile and put some ice and cold water on my burns. Today was hectic. I finally got off at 12:30. And I took one of my coworkers home (didn't want to leave him stranded) then got lost trying find my way back home. Now here I sit with burns on my neck, back and arms on narutobase.

I'm a hypocrite I don't poison my body with their food and i would suggest that anyone I know do the same. But on the other hand I need the money to help with my tuition and to be more independent aka: paying for my own gas lol

Depends..It exploded means it had a lot of really condensed steam- that burns as much as the hot grease and if he was nearer and it exploded in his direction as he took it out then he got hit first hand... less if most of the steam was released away from him...
