Seriously doubt their relationship will get a whole movie dedicated to it. Maybe some sort of team 7 mission together after the events of the last, with subtle romantic developments. Don't really know how they could write a believable villain though. Maybe Orochimaru with some plot armor or something.

They are together. But of course unless he would make a manga for yet another year and make it a shojo instead of shonnen he cannot show that development. It wasn't going to happen. It's a pretty common trend in shonnens. So whatever.

I'm not sure why even after seeing those drawings in previous chapters people were so surprised by the pairings...Could they not see it? (If any doubts were left despite Pain arc..)

Well in recent interview after the Movie
The Japanese Fandom and even the Japonese Seiyuu are complaining to Kishi about the lack of SS and Sasuke in the movie.

Kishimoto admitted the fans not wanted to see only Naruto's side in a movie.
But Sasuke's side too.

Chie-san laughingly told Kishi that Sakura gave off the feeling of being broken-hearted when giving Naruto 'the last rites over the deceased' in the movie (even the article put a question mark after that part) - and that she wanted to know what had happened between her and Sasuke, not just between Naruto and Hinata. The article says that she was literally begging Kishi to write about it.

To which Kishimoto apparently nodded and answered with 'Certainly, people are interested in Sasuke's side... I'll be thinking about various things'.

Anyway Naruto is the main character. NH get a movie only because this.An entire movie about SS without Naruto in central theme is hard.

I think only a few Flashbacks about SS or some SS interaction together in Part 3 Mini Series or the in the new Bolt movie is enough.

Thing is people are paying too much attention to pairings and yet pairing was never the main focus of the story. And seeing the reactions at Tobi ID and now with Sakura- it's safe to bet no matter what we were going to have cries because both revelations were going to disappoint rest of the theory makers. Theories start with fun but with arguments over it people somehow tend to make their mind up and want it to be true no matter what. And only one section can be happy in the end.

This is not the first pairing war I am seeing and it certainly won't be last. First time I noticed it( in kid's anime) - it was about Beyblade original series. Kai is very similar to Sasuke and Naruto to Takao of that series. They didn't even show whom they married. In the last chapter only confirmed pairing was Rei and Maria ( which were hinted even in the series - something like Shika Temari) but it were Kai and Takao's son who were battling. And yet people kept guessing whom Hiromi/ Hillary married if she did. Many pairing wars were over yaoi pairing even.. Takao/Kai or Rei/kai or Tala/kai.. really serious flame wars.. That had surprised me .. since then I don't care much about it. xD

First time I ever had a disagreement over a pairing was even before that- About Buffy/spike or Buffy/Angel- with my cousin. It was hilarious when someone point out that no matter which of the two both the guys were quite pedophiles going after a minor girl- both of us had totally missed that part.

Point is you can either let go or keep tiring yourself out and get stressed over a manga.

LB is a guy. Hinata represents the ideal wife concept for many so no surprises there. Sakura acts the same when it comes to Sasuke. It's mostly the feminists who wanted Sakura to becomes something more whether they accept being feminist about it or not. Too bad WSJ and Kishi kept it simple and safe for anything else would take the focus from guys away.

As for guys getting put off with a Sakura cleaning the house- that makes me happy.

That has some very good points.

Taking Sasuke's childhood into account SS family being a loving family is not far fetched at all, people just want to hate.

In the end this is a work of fiction, a shounen, Sasuke's bad behavior was necessary for plot, but he is redeemed in the end and thats that, however it was so rushed that people (haters mostly) still see him as a bad person.

If anything a movie or any content about this relationship will be good in the sense that it will show it in a more positive light.

(And for those who say the hate is on Sakura and not Sasuke, the point still applies because they hate Sakura because she accepted a "bad person".)

Do you really need a letter to prove SS was just an afterthough when all signs point to this implication?

Look at all the Kishi interviews where he only talks about NaruHina and how he intended to pair them from the beginning. Look at how he mainly refers to Sarada as "Sasuke's" daughter. Sakura is a non-factor to him. Look at how he admits in interview links posted in this very thread that he has only made Sakura experience painful things with Sasuke and now, at the end of the series and after a friggin movie he says he'll think of something for SS and that's only after being specifically asked about it.

Connect the dots and pause and think and you'll see he likely intended to only make NaruHina cannon and leave all other pairings open ended, including SS.

It seems we're getting all these other pairings primarily bc of the spin off. Bolt needed a rival and Kishi loves his parallels so he gave Sasuke a daughter. The daughter needs to live in the village to develop their rivalry so it makes the most sense to make Sakura the mother.
