Forcing Beliefs on Kids....(Religious/Nonreligious ones)
It makes me cringe.Like when kids are saying "god told me to tell you..." or when some one claims and tell their kids they are agnostic/atheist/christian/ect. I don't really understand why some people push their beliefs on children.Like why not just leave them alone(as in not force it on them) and let them decide what they want to believe in when they get a certain age like maybe 12 or 13 during the Formal Operational Stage. I'm not saying everyone pushes stuff of their kids.I'm talk about the Christian, atheists, and anyone else who actually do this.I don't care how much prayers or whatever else you tell them at a certain age(0-11). They are probably agreeing with you because they don't understand what it means and heard you or someone else say it. Which deals with Preoperational and Concrete Operational Stages of thinking. Not trying to diss people's believes just saying don't you think it is selfish, inconsiderate, and indoctrinating by not giving them their own choice? Sure you can talk about it but when you are saying they have to do and belief this or that isn't that a problem? At least explain to them so they can understand your belief and probably other beliefs. Some people don't even do that. They just tell the kids they believe in something so the kid must also.
