If they both start in base, I believe Kakashi can take this more times than not since he has shown to activate his MS and execute Kamui extremely fast (warping two arrows in quick succession). His Kamui also managed to intercept and rip off the Mazo's arm while it was being summoned.

If Gai starts in 7th gate he blitzes Kakashi's ass


edit: Gai opening the gates is roughly the same speed as Kakashi forming the handseal for a shadow clone

--With his 7th gate speed being able to match even JJ madara, means that he certainly has the speed to overcome the sharingan precog, meaning that he can blitz him any time he wants,

--even if kakashi attempts kamui on guy, its still being evaded, when his 7th gate speed and reflexes shit on even minatos who canonically evaded kamui, and when guy even intercepted TSB which were stated to be faster than kamui, means that kamui is not doing shit here

--He engages him in CQC and through his far superior speed and reflexes, he pulverises him and kills him with Hirudora, which kakashi has no hopes of tanking at all, nor does he have a chance of evading it,

Assuming by the title Gai starts in 7G and Kakashi starts in base, Gai destroys.

If this is prime MS Kakashi, and they both start in base, Kakashi takes it more times then not imo. Clone feints + Kamui snipe is a bitch to deal with, even for Gai.

Edit: Nvm, the Kakashi that fought JJ Madara has piss poor deteriorated eyesight, IIRC. Gai wins.

If distance is long, no kamui usage.
