Yes, Itachi threads these days (particularly post-March 2014) have become saturated with blatant trolling and ignorance, but that shouldn't stop you from recognizing when someone actually puts effort into a quality thread such as this one, which greatly deviates from the norm and usual subject covered in most of those said threads.

And also, Chie regularly condemns trolls and fanboys for their ignorance regarding both Itachi's power and his character, so that's one indication that she didn't make this thread with the purpose of "wanking" him.

He just runs around on this site bashing in order to get people worked up. For all characters bar Naruto.

I wouldn't say they were all jokes. I never did. This just shows he has a sarcastic, laconic, dry humour side to him. Which is refreshing to see like you said given how stoic his nature is.
