But we never saw him training to get them..so does he just figure and make moves as he fights?

However, for second gear people love to call it an ass-pull but there was foreshadowing of a new technique before he even fought Blueno. It was inspired from rokushiki technique, soru, which was why he told Blueno he was glad that he met them.

Luffy trained with monkeys in the jungle he makes it up as he goes along. But Rayliegh did train him in haki etc so luffy does train

What about Zoros Ashura? Surely he didnt he practice on the ship because if he did the Ship would break and sink

That could very well be some form of haki. Oda has yet to explain it but we've seen Zoro train multiple times.

you could say unawakened haki use? sometimes he couldnt beat opponents but when he got emotional , angry and pushed to his limits his subconscious released haki without him knowing
