Most of the Indra Ashura reincarnates before Hashi- Maddy were fodders. Manga fact.
In other words just being a reincarnation of someone doesn't make u strong automatically.
The prophecy was about Naruto having the power to either save the world or become its destroyer....so nothing was certain. If Naruto just lazed around like Kiba, he was never going to become what he really became.
Also Naruto finally changed the destiny by establishing peace with Indra.

It was never said that they were "destined" to fight for generations. But it was stated that Naruto would begin peace to the world. So it was "destined" to be stopped by Naruto.

Naruto can change destiny, huh? Can he change himself from not being transmigrant of Asura? Could he change his fate when he fought Sasuke at the end? Neji said destiny can't be changed. And that's what happened. THe destiny being good or bad doesn't matter

Clearly Kishimoto changed his theme in part 2. I don't wish to spam all the scans where neji and naruto chat, or where the toads speak about destiny. We know it's a retcon. Hard work was the main theme of Naruto in part 1, Naruto becoming transmigrant of Asura changed that by quite a bit.

Of course, obsession can cloud people's judgement and make them ignorant...

Naruto wanted to fight Sasuke though because he saw that as his best shot of being able to save him. Like I said, show me where Naruto clearly wanted to change his destiny of being a transmigrant and being a child of prophecy?
