sage shared both yin and tang power with ashura and have nothing to indra. and after that bz pitched indra against ashura. indra only had his own power whereas ashura had power ups [yin and yang] from hagoromo and yet all he could do was tie with indra! hagoromo called indra a prodigy for nothing. he had the potential to be the greatest ootsutsuki
It's all the same thing. Six Path's Senjutsu refers to either Six Path's Sage Mode or Six Path's Ten Tail's Coffin Seal, one is obtained by getting the Juubi, the other is obtained by getting all 9 Bijuu and Rikudo's Chakra. Asura had neither.

Since Naruto needed to gather the Natural Energy around the VoTE, which resulted to his Chakra cloak becoming identical to Ashura's cloak, and Sasuke needed to merge the Bijuu's Chakra with PS, to use a technique called: ''Indra's Arrow''; it means they have reached the sons levels.
Inb4 Naruto has Bijuu's Chakra or Sasuke has Rinnegan, since both components are invalid. Naruto has little amounts of Bijuu's Chakra, which doesn't come close to making relevancy to the debate; and Sasuke has a Rinnegan that's weaker than standard Rinnegan and a Rinnegan he hasn't mastered yet.
I agree that by Ch.700 they probaly have surpassed dem in all rights but before that they were at least equal if not a little bit below Indra and Asura in terms of power but yea I get what your saying.
