Am I the only one who thought the new Carrie film was better than the original?

In my personal opinion, it was way better than the original. I love the original, sure, but I think at times it becomes outdated, especially with the music. I love the 2013 version, I think it has better acting and its just really close to the book. I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this.
