Probably, but she did unlock byakugou and the Haruno symbol resembles the mark on Hashirama's forehead when he releases mokuton senpou. I am not saying its true it just crossed my mind.

It just doesn't have an extensive array of battle-oriented capability - x ray telescopic vision eyes - something an explorer or scientist could use effectively but in a close quarters battle, it does't give too much of an edge. The hyuga gentle fist was designed around their increased perception into the composition of a target, so as to bring it down by hitting its soft spots
The sharingan is intensely battle-oriented, and its sensory input causes better response to the rest of the body in the form of rapid reflexes from the anticipated movements it can see in the opponent's pattern of movement. It's also imbued with various abilities of genjutsu and ninjutsu that are intensely powerful - the byakugan never got anything of the sort, but remember the sharingan was manifested out of the shinju, not human dna, so maybe that's why its so much more powerful.Funny thing is in a sharingan vs byakugan battle the byakugan user probably wont be able to get close to use Gentle Fist anyway

Lol so we actually have the same point of view regarding both doujutsu.

You are right Sharingan is much more battle oriented and in a real life I might prefer having Byakugan because of its perks, only downside is my eyes would look bad as apose to awesome looking glowing crimson eyes with (spinning?) tomoes.
