Protest is about hate crime. Shooting you because you belong to a particular race...also about police going happy trigger,"that thing he is holding looks like a gun.lemme shoot the **** out of him". But I all I see in the news rioting and more violence and no change and more such incidents follow.

When is the media going to cover black on black crimes? Why aren't there ever protest for when a black kills another black, but once a white man does it suddenly we should get on the streets and start protesting and make a change! I'm just saying, we killing ourselves and no one is saying a damn thing about it or wants to make a change about it, but once a person with a different skin color kills a black person all hell breaks loose :eww: I just find it hypocritical for my people to be acting this honestly and it's sad.

Just this weekend I saw an altercation between two brothers. It's pitiful, definitely hypocritical, and very sad. Who cares about the medias take in it though, it should be a personal value and understanding. Really, people of any skin color killing another is bad, but in times like these especially, seeing black on black violence is painful, just painful.

Exactly. It is sad to see and I just want see black on black violence get the same type of attention like this case where everyone is like "Okay, this shit needs to stop or at least be lowered to a very low number of deaths."

But yeah. You have a point. That would probably be profound if it could actually happen. I said that mostly cause it bothers me that people are so dependent on what the media feeds them, to want to stand up and make changes. U_U

What ppl need to realize: Everything in the media isn't true, a lot of what you need to know will not be shown by the media

It's up to us as the black community to educate ourselves

And that's the problem, we never want to learn shit U_U going to public school in Compton, you see a lot of wasted potential walking around not wanting to learn nothing and just play around.

Sorry about the multi-posting, I have a piece of crap laptop while using lame internet so yeah. And yeah a protest on gang violence or black on black violence and it having major support would be incredible to see in this day and age.

I find it funny how people always bring up why no one brings up black on black crime it's brought up everytime people are just to ignorant to pay attention to it while it mention countless of times this video speak for itself.

This so much. I remember being tailed by a store associate in Borders(book store) because I'm black. I wasn't being loud or obnoxious, just silently browsing. Yet somehow me being followed around a book store is acceptable.

I do see the other side of the argument though. Black people could make a bigger effort to stop the ridiculousness happening in these cities. A protest about the violence in Chicago or Philly would be welcome to me. Young black women and men need to be taught that shaking your ass and gang banging will get you no where in life.

Wow, really? I was being watched while in a gas station trying to buy some chips and I could feel the Asian guy eyes on my back and I just wanted to get out of there before I said something I would have regretted. And YES! They need to be taught that there are more options out there than the entertainment industry.

The ****ing media is part of the problem. They only show one side when there is always 2 sides of something, I knew it had to be peaceful ones somewhere.

I have been profiled on a few occasions myself, the most recent being during this past summer while visiting friends in Long Island. It was around 11 PM, in a suburban neighborhood. The Cops were in an unmarked truck and pulled over to the side very abruptly to stop me and my friend. I thought they were gonna run us down, on some shit, I didn't know they were cops at first.. They asked me who I was, where I was going, and where I lived. It was completely out of no where, like they didn't even say they were looking for anyone to match to a description or anything like that. They clearly just wanted to know why we were being black in public at the time. I was REALLY pissed off that it had happened.

Facts..^^^^^ I'd say it's up to us more as communities than one community, as we all live in our own niches an all, but still true.

Being a black man in America is hard. You have the government against us and even sometimes our own women. I'm sorry that happened to you man, I would have been pissed off as well if some random ass cops pulled me over in a non-police vehicle.

It's all good, do not apologize. It's these types of experiences that we should use to make us stronger. Even though I feel violated when those things happen at the moment, it is empowering to walk away proving to the people that do profile that not all of us are how they are taught to believe we are.

Very true, walking away would make you the better man and not fall into another stereotype or statistic. Its kind of like a fight where you get beat, but you get up, go home and learn from it and next time when you get into another one you learned from you're mistakes and improved on yourself to become even stronger than before so you won't fall for the same old tricks.

Black on black crimes generally lead to more immediate decisions and serious repercussions....that's why this is a problem...
