[Theory] The Senju Clan: What Happened? Where Are They?

Does anyone have a clue or any ideas as to what happened to them? Anyone have an answer? A theory? Tell me what you think plausibly (not possibly) happened to the Great Senju Clan that just disappeared from the Leaf during history without no explanation or flashback story of sort

I think maybe during the second ninja war they were wiped out as they probably followed in Tobirama footsteps and took the initiative during battles and sacrificed themselves for their teammates... I think they all died out around Sarutobi become Hokage... Or maybe a lititle before that... They helped started the village but just vanished after we learned they formed the Leaf

Thats a sound theory.Not to mention kishimoto needed to get rid of them.Without the uchiha it would be very rare to find a force to equal their power,so the reason being self sacrifice is quite probable.

I'm guessing they just mingled and settled with people outside of their clan, the bloodline thinned out. Unlike the Uchiha I feel like the Senju didn't care too much about their clan or bloodline.

The Senju clan was formed of many sub-clans or an alliance of sub-clans (Ashura's ideology). Once Hashirama and Tobirama died, the Senju Clan simply split apart over time into Sarutobi, Akimichi, etc and different clans which became independent.

Senju clan doesn't have any distinguishing features like the Uchiha (sharingan) to keep them organized. They didn't disappear, they mixed with other clans and their last names were dropped. It's manga fact the Uzumaki have Senju blood in them. Naruto, Nagato, Karin, and Tsunade are all of the Senju bloodline.

Maybe some started clans of their own like Nara, Akimichi, Aburame etc.

Some of their names could have changed due to marriage or for survival, to protect their loved ones.
Just as Naruto was given the name Uzumaki instead of Namikaze.

Some may have scattered around the world.

Some may still be around but are not among the main characters.
They could be among some unknown anbu or unknown shinobi.

I dont find it that likely that they were wiped out or went almost extinct.
I would expect to have heard something about that, just like with the Uzumaki clan.

Senju were the first to go and die in 3 Ninja Wars Tsunade’s brother died as a kid that their tells you they were short on Adult Senju if Senju kids are dying.
