How come Kakashi was only able to use Obito's ability with both Mangekyou?

Obito can use it with only one obviously.
Same eye, and Kakashi figured out his ability.
So how come he never used it with 1 mangekyou?
Are the eyes abilities split?

Each individual MS has it's own power. For example, in one of Itachi's eyes had Amaterasu while the other had Tsukuyomi. It's the same with Obito. Obito's eye had the intangibility, while Kakashi had a long range snipe attack.

I think thats a big misconception or even a flaw in the story.While it is mentioned tha each eye has a different ability thats not exactly true.Considering kakashi and obitos fight in the other dimension kakashi was able to warp himself back as well.I think that maby one eye hold sheer power while the other refines its use for example sasuke casts amaterasu with one eye but controls it with the other.If we look at kakashi and obito they have the same jutsu excepts obito use of it is more skilled and refined.
