Itachi cant beat any form of Madara. Madara solos easily. Ill post manga proof why if you want

It's obvious Kishi portrayed Ashura reincarnations to be stronger than Indra's.

Or simply because the Body is slightly stronger than the eyes. It's been portrayed like that. Madara needed Kurama (a Bijuu which is commonly linked to Body powers as jinchuriki's) just to push Hashirama to use Shinsenjuu and he still lost. Sasuke needed the Bijuu to stalemate a tired Naruto whom used all of his Senjutsu on two Rasenshuriken, when if he had access to the Bijuu's who were in a Genjutsu he could have used Bijuu Senjutsu amplified Rasenshuriken, which are obviously a lot stronger.
