[Discussion] Vice Admiral Bastille ?

So how strong do you think Bastille is ? He obviously got #rekt by Sabo, but I feel like this was something bound to happen in order to hype Sabo up.

On topic now, where would you rank him in comparison to his fellow Vice admirals ?
And also, do you think Franky could beat him ?

Personally I think he's weaker than Smoker and on the lower end of the Vice Admiral scale(Strength wise).

I am aware that the skirmish between Franky and Bastille was filler in the anime but I believe that Franky can actually defeat him. With great difficulty though.

I agree. I can see Smoker winning mid-high diff. And he is on the middle of the Vice admiral power scale IMO...so Bastille really seems to be on the low end to me v_v



Edit: Actually I think he could be mid VA tier. He would be one of the weaker, mid level VAs though.

Considering that Admirals are strongest force of marines, which mean that 3 Admirals > ALL VAs and that make 1 Admiral >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1 VA. So, Bastillie being one-shotted by Sabo, is not really big thing.

I personally think that Bastillie with Bogart (assuming that he is VA) and Buster Call VA is "cream" of Vice Admirals.

Also, the Vice Admiral group has a vast power level scale. There are beast VAs like Garp,Tsuru and Onigumo and then there are fodders like Maynard...I believe that Bastille is in the same tier as Smoker at best which means they are both around the middle. High VAs would be the ones I stated above and some from the Buster Call as well.

Because he seems to be right hand of admiral. We don't exactly know how powerful Tsuru and Onigumo are. And we know that Garp only holds title of VA because he never wanted to be Admiral, but his skills are far above that of Admiral not just VA.
