Because it's not baseless. We already know the synopsis of the movie.
And the posters have stated the same line over and over.
"Will Naruto realize the nature of her feelings".
She already confessed, he should already know about this.
Rather than taking the events that happened throughout manga between these two characters as a basis for their relationship and having this movie seal the deal, Naruto's going to fall for Hinata through the events that happen in the movie. Which is a retcon, because it nullifies all of their moments throughout the manga.
You can hope and wait that I'm wrong, but seeing the info that's been released. It's more likely that I'm right.
Knowing and realizing is two different things. Naruto may know Hinata loves him but does not realize what he feels towards her. Its been explained already that Naruto does not know what love is. Nor what a women's heart is telling him. This is similar to Sakura's case with Naruto. She knew Naruto liked her but never knew to what extent? Naruto is gonna fall for Hinata through the events that happen in the movie by realizing what love truly means and by realizing what his feelings for Sakura truly ment. This is not a retcon by any stretch. This is easily explainable if you read the manga and connect it with the movie. They said this movie will be highly connected to the manga. So I am pretty sure this aspect is to.
I just don't understand your logic of him confessing to her after the war? I mean did we get there interactions to get to know each other all that much? Naruto's issue was of not knowing Hinata fully. He will now know her.
